Getting Here

The nearest major airport is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport which is located about 31 miles from the base. Another nearby airport is the King County International Airport which services domestic flights and is located about 32 miles from Fort Lewis, WA. Taxi and shuttle service is available from the airport. If arriving by car from Sea-Tac airport, take I-5 south toward Tacoma. Stay on I-5 until you reach exit 125 for McChord Field and Bridgeport Way. Turn left at the end of the exit onto Bridgeport Way and proceed about a quarter mile to the gate.

Upon arrival to McChord Field you will find many transportation options available. McChord AFB is easily accessible by main highways whether arriving by bus, taxi or rental car.
